Facts, events, perspectives about me

I build, break, and fix things. Currently, I'm helping design scalable, usable and intelligent systems at Ajentica. I’ve worked with startups and growing teams helping them design and build their digital products and online presence for over five years, which is just long enough to learn that "move fast and break things" usually means someone (often you) has to go and fix it eventually.

Growing up in a family of two (civil) engineers. I have always had a hook for tinkering with everyday things and was just another high-schooler who loves math, until in 2015, I discovered C programming, which got me absolutely mind-fucked in the best way. In 2018, I got into Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Dhaka. In 2020, while classes were slow to move online, I went down a rabbit hole of Coursera courses and discovered Human-Computer Interaction, the marriage of engineering and psychology that most CS programs in Bangladesh seem to kinda ignore.

Around the same time, a group of peers formed a software agency where I was asked to design a website, which became my first paid design gig and the start of my design career. I worked with that startup on several client projects for the next two years until my senior year, where I focused my research thesis in HCI with professors of DNDLab at DU. Our work on usable privacy and security was later published at a conference in 2024.

After graduating in 2023, I joined another agency although as a UI/UX Designer, I was offered to be the "chef at the kitchen" where I juggled with product (planning, research, design, sprint execution, process development) and educating & mentoring new design and frontend trainees. The loose job description became my freedom to wear different hats that gave me a crash course in how product, engineering, and business collide irl.

Throughout the years, I have worked with independent founders and businesses across e-commerce, recruitment, telco, tele-medicine, ed-tech, and logistics, doing design audits, consulting, and product development. In early 2025 I joined an amazing team at a VC funded recruiting-tech startup product, Airwork AI, where I work on UX research and design and where execution and measurable outcomes matter.

I love the tiny details in everyday things. The good designs you use without thinking, and the bad ones that make you sigh. When others shrug, I ask why, which chain of decisions lead to this being produced? That curiosity drives me to design and build products, hopefully making the world slightly better with better designed "things".

I've always been drawn to taking on responsibilities, From being class rep at college, organizing events at uni, serving the department's student club retiring as VP, All the way up to building teams and processes at new startups. I find something deeply satisfying about making things work better for everyone involved.

I love to talk (and sometimes argue) and know nothing about design, products, coding, business, tech news, computers, right to repair, privacy, economics, philosophy, society, comic books, art, photography, music, movies, puns, oxford commas, and more.
